This is a replacement key shell for Volkswagen. Swap the electronics from a worn or damaged key, or from a new uncut key. No reprogramming is needed.
If ordered without cutting, the pre-installed blade will be removed before shipping to save you time. The hinge pin is included for easy reassembly.
Should I get the key with cutting?
We recommend ordering with cutting. Some original VW blades are slightly thicker and may not fit the new shell unless sanded. If you have multiple keys and are comfortable sanding, ordering without cutting is fine.
