OEM Mini/BMW Donor Remote
To repair broken or missing 2002–2004 Mini Cooper buttons
It is very common for a 2002–2004 Mini Cooper remote to have a broken or missing button. This problem happens when a button was pressed too many times directly with a finger.
Why pay over $200 for a new dealership key with programming costs if the remote just needs a new button?
This is a donor 3 button remote either from a BMW or a newer generation Mini Cooper key. The buttons from this donor remote can be soldered on the Mini Cooper remote to resolve the issue.
If you do not have experience soldering, a local cellphone/electronic repair shop can do this for you.
Some Mini remotes that have major corrosion besides a broken off button might not be fixed with a new button
